Stanford Student Enterprises recognizes that it is essential to protect the privacy of users on the Web. For each visitor to our Web page, our Web server automatically recognizes only the consumer's domain name, but not the email address. The information is used for internal review as a way to track our visitation and make improvements to the site, then discarded. No other information is collected without the consent of the visitor.
To enable users to purchase merchandise via store.stanford.edu, a user's personal information will be shared with a third-party service provider solely for the purpose of order fulfillment and credit card verification. A user's personal information will not be sold to any other party. Site visitors have the option of creating an account and storing personal and shipping information to expedite future orders. If you choose not to create an account, once we have processed your order, we will safely discard your personal information.
All credit card information is stored on Stanford's secure credit card processor's server. We do not have direct access to any of your credit card information and this billing information is never shared or sold at any time.
We collect the email addresses of all users, but this information is used solely for the purpose of our opt-in email newsletters and our periodic updates. To remove your email address from the newsletter subscriber list, click here.
